Mental Health

Mental health includes our psychological, emotional, and social well-being. It affects and relates to your daily life, the way you cope, the ability to set and reach goals, your ability to relate to others, and your connection to yourself, and those who you surround yourself with. Mental Health affects every stage of life, from childhood, through adolescence, and adulthood.

Over time, your experience with Mental Health can change. Your ability to problem solve, your thinking, your behavior, and your moods, can alter the way in which you respond and cope,  and can contribute to decline in your Mental Health.

Mental Health can have an impact on your relationships, professional life, social life and skills, personal sense of worth, motivation, and your ability to self-care.

There are many contributors to Mental Health, some include:

-biological factors (brain chemistry)

-trauma

-abuse

-family history

-life experiences

-stress
