About Nikki McIvor
I have been in the education field for 15+ years. My passion for Education started in The Pas, Manitoba when I was a Parent/Child Centered Program Coordinator. Developing and implementing various parenting programs, making connections between parent and child, and my drive to help families, children, and partner with community resources, inspired me to start a Breakfast for Learning Program. A program that would feed 50+ children daily before their school day. After my completion of my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education Degrees, I continued my love for teaching in Thompson, Manitoba where I taught Grades K-5 for 10 years. Upon relocating to the Morden area with my husband, I completed my Masters of Education with a specialty in Guidance Counselling. I am married to my husband, Justin and we have 3 children who all share a love of hockey, kayaking, and anything outdoors.
I believe that everyone, young and old, may need someone alongside them to help them explore where they want to go, how to cope, how to acquire social skills, successful emotional regulation, and discover self-management tools and strategies to help them through their hardest times.
